Today my two oldest girls worked really hard and fast so they could help me with these:

This is a beautiful set of silver that I am borrowing for a little bit and I am going to use them for Thanksgiving dinner.

I am so excited
Aren’t they pretty, I love the look of real silver, it makes the place setting so pretty and special.

My girls were so excited to polish them up to make our
Thanksgiving table special.

What special item to do set your table with?
I don't have a special item. This is my first Thanksgiving, and I just got a turkey platter. I'm hoping to make that the centerpiece of my table for a number of years.
I don't know why, but I have a hard time eating off of silver! It may be because my great grandmother's silver was very tarnished and smelly by the time I saw it. She had physical and, by the end, mental problems and couldn't clean it. Ever since then, if I see a silver spoon or fork in my mom's silverware drawer, I'll reach around it to get stainless steel.
I use my china that my mom gave to me. It was hers for a while and was her grandmothers before that.
We used to use silver silverware! It was in a box like the one you have but I think the inside was purple. Mmmm good memories!
Family
I don't have anything special, just the food. 🙂
My mom had special crystal glasses and bowls etc that she would pull out.
The silver looks nice. Hope everyone enjoyed using them.
