It Has Been a Long Time

I think this has been the longest time that I have ever been away from my blog.  Aside from the normal busyness of summer time, I have been doing a lot of introspection on what I want to be.  While there has been plenty of things to post about, my heart hasn’t really been in it, and I needed a break to think and ponder over what I want this blog to be.  That being said, I am back to blogging, for better or worse, hoping that I haven’t lost all my readers, and asking for forgiveness for my slacking off.
This summer, so far, we have:
Gone on a short family vacation

Had a wonderful (4 day) 4th of July Celebration

Hosted a BBQ

I had a simple surgical procedure

and attended two weddings, while looking forward to a third next month.
Gathering Eggs

All the while, tending a very difficult garden (this season has been a killer)and eating the fruits of my labor

  2. So good to "see" you again! You have had a full summer and that is good. I know a break is an important thing sometimes. Helps us see a little clearer.

  5. It's good to have you back…even if it is for better or worse. We all have those times with our blogs I think. I know for me, the summer has been so filled with fun things to do, I haven't blogged as much as I usually would. I hope your summer has been a good one!!!

  6. Missed you Aimee–glad to hear from you again!
    Taking time for yourself to do some self-examination is always OK, as is having little retreats once in awhile for body,mind and soul:)
    Our garden has been tempermental too–we lost raspberries and gooseberries due to excessive heat!
    Ouch on your leg! Hope your recovery is swift!
