First Anti-Boredom Project Finished

There is nothing going on in my life right now.
I am just quietly gestating,
and trying not to go crazy.
(although there was a bit of drama, I will tell you about it all later)
I finished the baby blanket I showed you in the post before and I am on to the second, but I had to post pictures.  I am pretty proud of how it turned out, I still consider myself a novice crocheter, but I am getting better and patterns are getting easier to read.

I am having a hard time finding yarn I like locally, I want a really soft yellow and I just can’t seem to find it.  So I have a question, do any of you crochet, and where is your favorite place to buy yarn on line?

Thanks for listening.

  1. You are a novice??? That is beautiful–it looks SO soft too! A soft yellow would be beautiful I think too–I hope you are able to find some.
Thinking of you–I know this time id difficult. Hang in there!

PS: Was it hard to learn to crochet? My grandma did it and made beautiful items—I would love to learn how.

  2. I knit more often than crochet. I also live in a big enough town that I have a JoAnne's, a Michael's, and a Hobby Lobby locally so I haven't had to buy yarn online. I am looking at some varigated hand dyed stuff, but that is a specialty thing for a project just for me (to keep, which I usually don't). It's in an Etsy store. The blanket is very pretty. I have a hard time reading crochet patterns and my projects always come out a bit lopsided, even when casting on with a bigger hook than the rest of the project needs.

  3. Serial Mommy: I have access to all three of those stores too, but whenever I go everything seems really picked over, and I am looking for something a little more…special…
